SOHO BOY
by Paul Emelion-Daly
5 Star Review:
“divinely gorgeous and outrageously talented Owen Dennis…a true sparkling talent… ability to convey every emotion of Spencer’s journey…encapsulating… rich vocals… a rare strength… star and talent is clearly ascending. Director Matt Strachan has delivered a true testament to the power of theatre to move and educate the audience. Soho Boy is truly worthy 50 minutes of anyone’s Festival day, a beguiling performance, Daly’s quality writing and deeply personal and moving story ensures Soho Boy lingers long in the memory” ScotsGay Arts 5 Stars

From LAMBCO Productions, the company behind BOYS IN THE BUFF, TICKLE, SKIN DEEP, DO YOU HAVE A SECRET CRUSH, BEWITCHMENT ON BLACK ICE, MARGOT DAME the most famous ballerina in the World, and SINCERELY YOURS, comes this newly commissioned musical about the joys and perils of moving to London.
Opening in London over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday season before moving to Edinburgh for the Festival Fringe.
“Young, trendy Spencer leaves home and hits Soho like a whirlwind in a journey of love, laughter, heartbreak and happiness. Working in a clothes store, partying at the weekend and busking on the streets. But all that glitter fades when Spencer finds love and stumbles into the darker side of the neon lights and tight white t-shirts. This modern tale on the gay scene which can be harsh and lonely surrounded by glamour, sex and songs”.
London Pub Theatre sent out a questionnaire to gain real experiences of moving to London.
