As the Blitz rages across London, a plucky troupe of volunteers struggles to keep its ENSA song-and-dance show running. While the audiences see smiles, music and wartime entertainment, backstage the performers face their own dramas as the war changes their lives forever.
Packed with 22 wartime classics, including Chattanooga Choo Choo, Accentuate the Positive, Every Time We Say Goodbye and The White Cliffs of Dover, Bluebirds is a warm story of courage, nostalgia and finding love in unexpected places.
Daisy’s search for her Australian soldier, Bill, eventually takes her to the Australian War Memorial and the Missing in France, where memories of wartime life come flooding back.
