A funny, sexy and decidedly queer reimagining of Delibes’ classic ballet Coppélia, relocated to 21st-century Soho.
An engaged man finds his fidelity tested when he becomes fascinated by a beautiful mannequin in the window of Dr Coppélius’ sex shop, believing her to be a real person. As desire, jealousy and mistaken identity collide, the familiar story unfolds through an all-male cast and contemporary choreography.
Directed and choreographed by William Spencer, this modern narrative ballet combines Delibes’ score with a playful, provocative new setting.
